For almost two years, we have definitely dreamt about finally leaving our house and travelling around the globe as we scroll through our TikTok at two in the morning. Travelling may seem impossible now, but it’s definite that the travelling industry would welcome a new, gushing wave of travelers – eager to spread their wings into the new, undiscovered post-pandemic world!
So, what has changed?
Swans and dolphins at the Venetian canals. Water clear enough to observe fishes. Sounds like the animals came out to party after knowing that humans are on a restraining order from nature. Although these adorable news turned out to be false, it is true that nature is slowly healing itself from the constant human pollution and damage.
Overnight, the bustling world suddenly hit the brakes and humans were forced to stay inside. Without crowds constantly roaming, litter and waste reduced, shorelines and canals became cleaner. It’s certain that the post-pandemic nature is a sight to be mesmerized as we appreciate our healing planet. Be sure to detox yourself in the healing nature once the pandemic ends!
The environment is not the only thing that changed. Travelling after the pandemic would introduce brand new measures and restrictions that are stricter than ever before. Health procedures such as temperature checks, social distancing and constant sanitization would become a common practice in travelling for good!
Other measures such as reduced personal contacts during travels would also introduce AI assistance and robots into the industry! So don’t be shocked when a robot air stewardess serves you peanuts and drinks when you’re flying through the air!
According to James Crabtree, associate professor of National University of Singapore, countries that had effectively contained and managed the spread of COVID-19 such as Germany, Greece and many more are already gradually opening up their borders for small-scale travelling. These groups of countries are known as “travel bubbles” where they only allow their local travelers to travel among these countries.
“Green lanes” are also introduced, allowing pre-screened travelers who are vaccinated and showing signs of immunity to the virus to travel within the set boundaries. So if you want to be able to travel, make sure you are safe and fully vaccinated!
There are still many measures and new health standard operating procedures (SOP) that are being developed to create a safer environment for post-pandemic travelling. While it may be difficult to get used to, the travelling and tourism industry definitely changed and evolved for the greater good!
What to prepare for my next Post-Pandemic Trip?
Finally, the dust on your luggage and passport are ready to be wiped off and start a brand new travelling life! Things have changed but here’s some tips for your next post pandemic travels:
- Research, research, research!
It all starts from a click on the computer. We know you’re excited to see the clean canals in Venice but hold your horses! Check the entry requirements of both your vacation destination and airline services so you know what to expect and prepare.
A COVID-19 test or a quarantine period may be required before you travel. Some countries and airlines may also require travelers to be fully vaccinated in order to board the plane. So make sure you check the entry requirements and complete them!
When booking your travel destination, take note of the pandemic condition of the country. Some countries may be still struggling to manage their pandemic outbreaks while still allowing travel to take place.
- Budget and Travel
Travel means great experiences and… expenses. To make sure you have a good and satisfying trip, it’s best to plan your budget for all the exciting activities and delicious local cuisines that can finally be experienced after the almost never-ending home food and looking at travel pictures on Instagram!
During these uncertain times, some of us may have struggled financially and are hoping to get some extra cash for your next post-pandemic trip. One of the ways would be from Accredit Money Lender. Similar to a bank, these money lenders are companies that legally lend cash at an interest. Lending from these companies could be an added benefit to your eagerly awaited trip as they can get approval and disbursements faster compared to banks!
Preventing COVID-19 spread and health measures
To avoid the further spread of diseases and keeping everyone in your travels safe, sanitizing yourself and your items are definitely a must during your travels! Though sanitizers would be provided in many restaurants, stores and other places in accordance with their health measures, we, as travelers, should also be responsible for our own health and cleanliness. So bring a bottle of sanitizers with you at all times and happy sanitizing!
Masks may also be required in many spaces, especially in limited spaces such as aircrafts and airports where social distances are hard to maintain. Bringing extra masks and wearing a double layer can add to your protection against the disease. Be sure to dispose of it responsibly into its designated trash bin to protect further pollution to our healing nature!
Can’t wait for your next trip!
Stay safe and adhere to your local health measures against the spread of COVID-19. Let’s do our part to flatten the curve and be able to travel and see the world again!
